In an industry too often of late filled with gloomy news, Perseus Books is claiming that this past fiscal year, which ended June 30th, was their best ever.

Company CEO David Steinberger sent a letter to employees that outlines this recent success. From BookBusiness:

[Successes] include the De Capo imprint’s successful 0f50a8dacquisition of a suite of bestselling wellness titles from the Mayo Clinic in September, wrote Steinberger. He also attributed the publisher’s success to the acquisition of multiple titles written by Youtube stars including Alfie Deyes’ Pointless Book and Pointless Book 2 as well as Paige McKenzie’s YA novel The Haunting of Sunshine Girl — the first in a trilogy to be published by Weinstein Books, a joint venture between The Weinstein Company and Perseus.

“It has truly been an extraordinary year,” wrote Steinberger, “a year of records and recognition, a year of exceptional publishing and service to publishers…”
